Long ago and far away there was a dude in St Louis manufacturing adaptable transportation using a motorcycle chassis. Open air? Not for me, in winter especially. The MOPAR vans make great "squatters" with air-ride lowering suspensions. Cut out the floor, remove the front seat, and there's a wheelchair van. Can you say $60k? I'd prefer the Kenguru.
