Koenigsegg unveils limited Edition CCX and CCXR models

Koenigsegg claims that customer demand has led them to produce a limited edition version of its CCX and CCXR supercars. They’ll be called – get this – the Koenigsegg Edition CCX and CCXR. Pretty creative, huh? Regardless, we all know Koeni cars have the goods to defend their funny names with peerless performance.
What makes these [...]

Essen 2007: Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster by Brabus

Of all the products in Mercedes’ stable that could benefit from a thorough tweaking, the McLaren SLR isn’t one of them. But Brabus has built its name on taking things to the illogical extreme, and its modification of the new SLR Roadster is no different.
Equipped with a new set of cams, exhaust and a system [...]

Idiot drives Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 219 MPH on public road

The Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 is a pretty incredible piece of machinery. A road car capable of speeds one would normally associate with an open-wheel racer will always be impressive, especially when you consider it’s laden with government-mandated safety equipment, plus niceties like a stereo and air conditioning.
Only a fool would explore the car’s outer performance [...]

The Lamborghini Reventón has been named L’Automobile più Bella del Mondo. Translation: The World’s Most Beautiful Automobile.
It earned this honor in the Special Models category of this annual automotive fashion show, recently held for the fifteenth time at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan, Italy.

Toyota builds the ultimate driving sim in the name of safety

Toyota has built a 15-foot-high, 23-foot-wide, 78-ton driving simulator “for effectively analyzing the driving characteristics of average drivers.”
The simulator allows Toyota to work on specific driving issues in a controlled environment, and to study mental aspects of driving such as decision making, which are among the most important considerations when trying to develop the next [...]

VIDEO: Maybach 62 S Landaulet

The rumors, the announcement, the official photos … none of it was enough to believe a once sensible company like Daimler-Benz could have created something so outrageously, ridiculously impractical as a six-figure, all-white, high-performance, partial-convertible, super-luxury limousine.
Seeing it on video doesn’t quite make it believable either. (It’s kinda like the Moon Landing to conspiracy theorists [...]

Lamborghini exploring ways to reduce CO2 without sacrificing the sound and the fury

Both Ferrari and Lamborghini’s CO2 emissions right now exceed 400 g/km. The EU has set a goal of 120 g/km for a carmakers’ fleet average by 2012.
Last week, Ferrari said it planned to at least get down to 280-300 g/km by 2012, which, while still more than double the target, represents a 30% decrease. It [...]

How much of a market is there for $1 Million + supercars ?

Even with more billionaires around then ever, there still appears to be a very limited demand for cars priced upwards of $1 million.
The almighty McLaren F1 was originally planned for a run of 300 cars, but production ultimately ceased after only about 100, including more than two dozen racing models.
The current high-dollar, high-speed champion Bugatti [...]

No, you can’t afford it: Rolls-Royce Phantom Tungsten

Well, this makes the one I had seem almost pedestrian. I’m talking about the new Rolls-Royce Phantom Tungsten, the latest limited-production saloon from RR’s Bespoke Collection.
The total number of cars being built is unclear, but it’s confirmed that six of them are headed to the Middle East, where they’ll be snapped up instantly. If the [...]

eBay Find of the Day: Vortec powered Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster replica

For fans of the legendary Countach, the current Murcielago is its true successor and perhaps the last of the “real” Lamborghinis.
It still has the longitudinal V12 with the transmission sitting in front of the engine between the seats and the obligatory scissor doors.
However, that $300,000 price tag puts it well out of range for mere [...]
