Volkswagen Golf GTI adidas, Golf GTI Excessive concept to debut at Worthersee

Volkswagen says that the Golf GTI is an icon and we definitely agree since it’s our favorite hot-hatch and has sold over 1.7 million units since its debut in 1976.
As announced earlier in the month, Volkswagen is launching two special-edition version of the GTI at Wörthersee Tour 2010.

More details are popping out about the new Volkswagen Scirocco – the lightweight sport car – that we will get to see during the International Motor Show in Geneva.

GM not going after VW, Toyota’s minicars– also posted in General Motors, Opel, Toyota

General Motors’ European arm has decided that it won’t jump feet-first into the micro-car segment with Smart, and more recently Toyota and Volkswagen. Speaking with Automotive News Europe, GM’s Euro-veep Carl-Peter Forster said that, “These specialized urban vehicles have a limited market.”
